For example, Al Gore's recent work and statements smacks similar to those doomsayers in the 70s. And because of statements like those, the message gets ignored while discussing the details.Daniel @ Campinashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02305405382223076803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-741227658356358863.post-28421050259286794502010-04-24T13:13:00.609-07:002010-04-24T13:13:00.609-07:00David,

In the socio-political climate we're in, people are so ramped up that everything gets lumped in political agendas, even when that isn't what it's about. It is much easier to defend a position based on just basic care for the eniroment instead of trying to defend a social agenda with it. Calling oneself a communist then setting out social and enviromental agenda's will only get ignored.Kylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14925360776637168540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-741227658356358863.post-71266278867966188842010-04-24T03:36:41.078-07:002010-04-24T03:36:41.078-07:00I'm not saying we can run roughshod over the p...I'm not saying we can run roughshod over the planet, but calling attention to the fact that just like at that time we had doomsayers saying "the end is near", we have over dramatization today. Perhaps if we lay aside the dramatics and address it clearly without the scare tactics, the message will be better received. What is it we study about the 8 fold path and Right View?
