Yesterday Buddha's Dragons; Today Big Birds

Feeling in a photographic mood, here are a few pictures of big birds I have taken over the years to inspire your meditations or simply your flights of fancy. Enjoy!

Sometimes, there is confidence.

And sometimes, not so much.

Sometimes, we go around and around, seemingly without end.

But in the end, we're always amongst friends.

Hi,

Of course my first thought was of 'Wild Geese' by Mary Oliver...

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
The world offers itself to your imagination.
Calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting,
Over and over announcing your place in the family of things.

But to be honest, the one duck poem I know off by heart is Spike Milligan's:

Down the stream the swans do glide,
it's quite the cheapest way to ride,
their legs get wet, their tummies wetter,
I think after all the bus is better.
